Givery Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takashi Ide; hereinafter referred to as Givery), at the request of Toyama National College of Technology (hereinafter referred to as Toyama Kosen), has supported the establishment of "Kosen AI Lab," a generative AI community for national college of technology students, with the aim of improving their literacy in generative AI technology. We are pleased to announce that we have released our support achievements in March 2026.
The generative AI community "Kosen AI Lab" was established within Toyama Kosen and began trial operations in January 2025. Following a user verification phase, this project began inviting participants from national colleges of technology and their faculty nationwide in October 2025, expanding it into a nationwide AI community.
Givery was responsible for supporting the launch of this project and disseminating AI technology information. A total of 74 participants from 26 schools joined, and the operational satisfaction level averaged 3.9 (out of a maximum of 5), indicating high satisfaction.
◼ Background of the establishment of 'Kosen AI Lab'
Givery's HR Tech division, guided by the philosophy of "Empower Engineering," develops the skill platform "Track" with the aim of realizing a better future where many people and organizations can demonstrate their creativity (engineering skills). We have long focused on collaboration with educational institutions, including the hackathon "JPHACKS," which has been held in collaboration with the University of Tokyo since 2014, and the free provision of e-learning tools to students of national colleges of technology, demonstrating active collaboration.
Toyama Kosen has strengths in the AI and data science fields among national colleges of technology. With the rapid evolution of generative AI technology, its utilization will undoubtedly become essential in society. However, there was a challenge that "literacy differences would emerge among students" if relying solely on systematic education through conventional curricula.
To address this, there was a request to start a community-based initiative. Givery, with its track record in supporting generative AI and its experience in collaborating with educational institutions, was chosen, and this project was launched.
◼ Project Details
Givery is supporting the following aspects of this project:
1. Launch of a generative AI community
2. Regular dissemination of generative AI information
3. Establishing an environment to promote student output
4. Responding to technical questions
To promote students' voluntary output, we conducted customized information dissemination tailored to the usage scenarios of national college of technology students.

1. For AI Hackathons and Contests! Time-saving techniques for "Presentation Slide Creation" using NotebookLM, Gemini, and NanoBanana
2. [Must-see for student councils and committees] Is your Excel work still manual? Finish tedious administrative tasks in an instant by "delegating" to your free AI partner.
◼ Voices from Participating Students
From a survey of participating students regarding the community, the following feedback was received:
* It was good that they disseminated articles primarily useful for students of national colleges of technology, unlike general tech articles.
* I found something that perfectly suited my project. I was able to apply it to my own app development.
These responses suggest that it is serving as a practical learning ground for AI.
◼ Comments from the Supervising Professor
From Professor Fumihiko Ishida of Toyama National College of Technology
The weekly delivery of the latest AI news, vetted with expert knowledge, has created a valuable opportunity for students to engage with cutting-edge technology. We are confident that we have taken a significant step towards nurturing the next generation of engineers, with the foundation of a unique community for national colleges of technology now in place.
Furthermore, our future vision is to share best practices from each national college of technology and elevate the AI literacy of all national colleges. We aim to broaden the platform for active opinion exchange where students and faculty can discuss on equal footing, making generative AI a powerful weapon in research and education.
◼ Future Outlook
This project's vision is to "evolve specializations with AI." By combining the inherent high level of specialization in national colleges of technology with AI literacy, we aim to produce individuals equipped with both AI skills and specialized knowledge, capable of immediate contribution to society. In the future, we envision expanding this to events such as hackathons in collaboration with companies, creating opportunities for interaction with society and practical learning through industry-academia collaboration.
