■ Purpose of this seminar | Aimed image of children and objectives
This seminar aims to realize children who can take an interest in their own life design, household finances, and the world (mechanisms of the economy and society) through changes in the value of society and money.
The goal is to lead to the development of the 'ability to find problems in daily life, set tasks, and solve them, and the attitude to strive and create a better life,' as stated in the Course of Study (Purpose and Main Points of the Revision of Technology and Home Economics).
■ Content of this seminar | Children's activities on the day
As activities for children on the day:
- 'How have prices changed in the last 30 to 40 years? How much has the ticket price for a certain amusement park changed since it opened? Have the prices of flour, meat, and curry rice changed?'
- 'What are the differences in household management methods between Japan and overseas?'
Using familiar examples like these in a quiz format, we will deliver an experiential learning experience about life design and household management to parents and children. While enjoying the participation together, it will create opportunities to think or talk about money, society, and the economy at home.
