Lately, we often hear about "soaring prices" in the news, but how much have prices actually changed over the past 30 years? How do household management methods differ between Japan and overseas? We rarely have the opportunity to think about or research these things in our daily lives.
In this course, Mr. Taizo Sugimura, who is highly active in various media such as TV and radio, and Ms. Hiromi Sato, who serves as the president of two companies and has a proven track record, will take the stage to provide an opportunity to become interested in society and money matters!

Through changes in the value of society and money, this course will realize a child who can take an interest in their own life planning, household finances, and the world (mechanisms of the economy and society).
By doing so, the aim is to connect this to the development of "the ability to find problems in daily life, set tasks, and solve them, and the attitude to devise and create life to realize a better life," as stated in the Course of Study (purposes and main points of the revision of Technology and Home Economics).
■ Content of this course | Children's activities on the day
As part of the children's activities on the day, we will deliver learning about life planning and household management to parents and children in an experiential way, using familiar examples such as quizzes:
"How have prices changed over the past 30 or 40 years?
How much has the ticket price of a certain amusement park changed since it opened?
Have the prices of flour, meat, and curry and rice changed?"
"What are the differences in household management methods between Japan and overseas?"
By participating and having fun as a parent and child, we will create opportunities to think and talk about money, society, and the economy at home.

Mr. Taizo Sugimura
Former member of the House of Representatives (youngest elected). During his time as a lawmaker, he made particular efforts to improve the environment for youth employment, such as the NEET and freeter issues. He is a regular commentator on TBS's "Sunday Japon" and TV Asahi's "Ooshita Yoko Wide Scramble". He is active in media such as TV, radio, and magazines, including serving as a special caster for Fuji TV's "Sun! Shine!". In his private life, he is a father of three. Most recently, he has given lectures such as "Taizo Sugimura talks about money, life planning, and the power to live course", "Life, you never know what will happen! ~Taizo-style career and asset formation I want to convey to the younger generation~", and "Let's associate with money smartly!
