Giftee, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo / Representative Directors: Mutsumi Ota, Tatsuya Suzuki / hereinafter, Giftee), which operates an e-gift platform business (*1), announced that it has provided its "Shareholder Benefit Digitization System" for issuing electronic shareholder coupons to Cypress Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo / President and Representative Director: Toshiya Azuma / hereinafter, Cypress Holdings). The issuance of electronic coupons, usable at 133 restaurants operated by its subsidiary, Cypress Co., Ltd., in Japan, has commenced. Furthermore, this initiative involves system integration between the "Shareholder Benefit Digitization System" and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank's "Shareholder Passport" smartphone app for shareholders. Distribution of Cypress Holdings' electronic coupons via "Shareholder Passport" began on Monday, May 11, 2026.

Under its corporate vision of "providing services that foster various connections among people, companies, and towns, centered on e-gifts," Giftee operates an e-gift platform business both domestically and internationally, providing end-to-end services from e-gift issuance to distribution. Its main services include the casual gift service "giftee®" (*2), "eGift System" (*3) for issuing and selling e-gifts and tickets, "giftee for Business" (*4) for corporations and local governments utilizing e-gifts, and the "e-machi Platform®" digital platform service for solving local government and regional issues. Giftee offers a wide range of e-gift services to individuals, corporations, and local governments.

Traditionally, shareholder benefits often consisted of paper coupons or discount tickets usable at the company's stores, food and beverages, or general gift certificates. All of these presented challenges such as increased costs for shipping and personnel in addition to product costs. Recently, however, an increasing number of companies are digitizing and operating traditional paper tickets as part of initiatives to improve shareholder convenience, reduce costs, and contribute to SDGs through paperless operations. In response to these trends, Giftee began offering its "Shareholder Benefit Digitization System" in February 2021, which allows companies to issue paper coupons or discount tickets usable at their own stores, as well as e-gifts other than their own products, as shareholder benefits. Since its launch, the system has been adopted by 33 companies (as of Monday, May 11, 2026), including Cypress Holdings.

By introducing Giftee's "Shareholder Benefit Digitization System" to listed companies operating consumer-facing businesses such as food and beverage, retail, experience, and finance, they can issue original electronic tickets usable at their own stores. When electronic shareholder benefits are used in conjunction with an efficient distribution system, it is possible to reduce not only shipping costs but also indirect costs such as the cumbersome settlement and aggregation work that occurs when distributing paper shareholder coupons. Furthermore, the digitization of shareholder benefits prevents unauthorized use and inappropriate resale by third parties, reduces the risk of damage and loss, and improves shareholder convenience when using them. In addition, by combining the provision of shareholder benefits with various solutions offered by Giftee, such as survey and video distribution mechanisms, companies can freely set the timing and triggers for providing shareholder benefits, enabling effective IR measures to be implemented in parallel. For listed companies that do not have their own stores or products, Giftee can provide over 1,000 types of e-gifts as shareholder benefits, including coffee tickets and digital gift certificates that can be immediately exchanged for products at stores nationwide, as well as digital codes usable on websites in addition to in-store exchangeable products. A function is also available that allows shareholders to choose from multiple pre-set e-gifts.

Cypress Holdings established a new shareholder benefit program to express gratitude for the ongoing support of its shareholders and to enhance the attractiveness of its own shares as an investment target. The company began distributing electronic coupons twice a year, with the first record date being Saturday, February 28, 2026. For this shareholder benefit program, Giftee's "Shareholder Benefit Digitization System" was adopted as the mechanism for digitizing and issuing shareholder coupons. The electronic coupons of Cypress Holdings, issued through the "Shareholder Benefit Digitization System," are usable at 133 restaurants (as of Monday, May 11, 2026) operated by its subsidiary, Cypress Co., Ltd., in Japan, and are distributed according to the gifting standards based on the number of shares held. In this initiative, the "Shareholder Benefit Digitization System" is integrated with the "Shareholder Passport" smartphone app for shareholders provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank.
