Giftee Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo / Representative Directors: Mutsumi Ota, Tatsuya Suzuki / hereafter "Giftee"), which operates an e-gift platform business (*1), announces that its "e-Machi Platform®" (*2), a digital platform that solves challenges for local governments and communities, has been adopted for the "'Go Now Noto' Group Travel Support Campaign" implemented by Ishikawa Prefecture. This campaign, launched in March 2026, involves Ishikawa Prefecture providing subsidies to travel operators (*3) inside and outside the prefecture who plan tours for groups of 8 or more people visiting the 12 Noto municipalities: Suzu City, Wajima City, Noto Town, Anamizu Town, Nanao City, Shika Town, Hakui City, Nakanoto Town, Hodatsushimizu Town, Kahoku City, Tsubata Town, and Uchinada Town. The "e-Machi Platform®" was introduced as the issuance and operation foundation for the "Shopping Coupon" (electronic coupon), which is a part of this subsidy. This platform provision is entrusted by the Ishikawa Prefectural Tourism League. This marks the third time the platform has been provided for projects aimed at promoting tourism in Ishikawa Prefecture, following the "Ishikawa Travel Discount Campaign" (*4) and the "Okunoto Support Travel Discount Campaign" (*5) implemented in 2023.

Noto is a rich region stretching across northern Ishikawa Prefecture. It is surrounded by the abundant nature of the "Noto Satoyama and Satoumi," recognized as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System, featuring the outer coast exposed to the rough waves of the Sea of Japan and the inner coast facing the calm Nanao Bay. In the sea near Noto, where cold and warm currents meet, visitors can enjoy fresh seasonal seafood such as wild Noto winter yellowtail, squid from Ogi Fishing Port, and wild blowfish from Wajima Port. It is also famous for traditional crafts like Wajima lacquerware and traditional festivals passed down in various areas.

As part of tourism promotion in the Noto area aimed at recovering from the damage caused by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, Ishikawa Prefecture is running the "'Go Now Noto' Group Travel Support Campaign" from Sunday, March 1 to Friday, July 31, 2026, to stimulate tourism demand and encourage supportive consumption in the 12 Noto municipalities. This campaign targets group tours of 8 or more people created and arranged by travel agencies inside and outside the prefecture. Under conditions such as visiting at least one "paid admission/experience" facility and at least one "food/drink/stopover" location, it subsidizes up to 60,000 yen per day for the use of buses and jumbo taxis, plus an additional 30,000 yen when staying overnight in Ishikawa Prefecture (excluding Kanazawa City). In addition, tour participants will receive an electronic "Shopping Coupon" worth 4,000 yen per person per day based on the days they tour the 12 Noto municipalities, valid from the date of acquisition until Monday, August 31, 2026, at approximately 270 participating stores (as of Wednesday, April 22, 2026) including tourist facilities, accommodations, souvenir shops, and restaurants in the 12 Noto municipalities. The "e-Machi Platform®" was adopted as the issuance and operation base for this "Shopping Coupon."

There are three types of "Shopping Coupons": 4,000 yen, 8,000 yen, and 12,000 yen, and they can be used in 1-yen increments. By scanning the QR code printed on the voucher distributed on the day of travel, users are redirected to the electronic coupon acquisition page. After answering the displayed survey, the "Shopping Coupon" can be obtained on the completion screen. The survey execution and collection utilize the "Survey" solution provided by "giftee for Business" (*6), a service utilizing digital gifts for corporations and local governments operated by Giftee.

The acquired "Shopping Coupon" can be used in 1-yen increments at checkout, and the payment method (authentication) at participating stores adopts QR code authentication (Static MPM method). The user shows the "Shopping Coupon" screen on their smartphone to the participating store, scans the QR code set up at the store, enters the amount to be used, and confirms it to complete the payment.

Operations at participating stores are also very simple; they only need to set up the QR code on a POP display inside the store in advance, and at checkout, they simply check the payment completion screen displayed on the customer's smartphone. When payment is completed, a "reconciliation" process is performed, and the payment amount is processed as used on the system, preventing fraudulent use. Furthermore, there is no need for the complicated tasks at participating stores such as "receipt, endorsement, aggregation, storage, and billing" that occur when handling paper coupons, and each store can check its usage history from a dedicated web page.

Giftee will continue to further promote the provision of the "e-Machi Platform®" to local governments nationwide as a means of revitalizing the local economy. Moreover, under the mission of connecting "people and communities" through gifts, we aim for regional revitalization through the spread of the "e-Machi Platform®."
