giftee's "e-machi Platform®" Solves Regional Issues Digitally, Adopted by a Cumulative 230 Local Governments and 255 Projects

giftee Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo / Representative Directors: Mutsumi Ota, Tatsuya Suzuki / hereinafter, giftee), which operates an e-gift platform business (*1), announced that its digital platform "e-machi Platform®" (*2), which solves issues for local governments and regions, was adopted by 26 local governments and 21 projects nationwide during the period from October 1 (Wednesday) to December 31 (Wednesday), 2025. As a result, as of December 31 (Wednesday), 2025, the cumulative number of local governments that have introduced the "e-machi Platform®" reached 230, and the number of introduced projects reached 255. Furthermore, as of March 31 (Tuesday), 2026, the cumulative number has reached 246 local governments and 275 projects.

During the same period, 5 local governments and 5 projects adopted "Tabisaki Nozei®" (*3), a new form of hometown tax donation that allows residents to enjoy outings and travel within the region while contributing to the local economy, and began issuing electronic gift certificates "e-machi Gift®" (*4) as return gifts. The adopting local governments are Saiki City, Oita Prefecture (adoption date: October 3, 2025 (Friday)), Iki City, Nagasaki Prefecture (adoption date: October 20, 2025 (Monday)), Ota Ward, Tokyo (adoption date: November 13, 2025 (Thursday)), Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture (adoption date: November 27, 2025 (Thursday)), and Tomamae Town, Hokkaido (adoption date: December 8, 2025 (Monday)). In addition, 5 local governments and 5 projects adopted "Ryugakusaki Nozei®" (*6), a system that allows a portion of "Nursery School Study Abroad" (*5) expenses to be paid with "Tabisaki Nozei®" return gifts, and began issuing online codes "Ryugakusaki Nozei Codes" as return gifts. The adopting local governments are Yubetsu Town, Monbetsu District, Hokkaido (adoption date: October 1, 2025 (Wednesday)), Tsukigata Town, Kabato District, Hokkaido (adoption date: October 7, 2025 (Tuesday)), Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture (adoption date: October 15, 2025 (Wednesday)), Yamagata City, Gifu Prefecture (adoption date: December 1, 2025 (Monday)), and Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture (adoption date: December 3, 2025 (Wednesday)).

Furthermore, as a new service related to hometown tax return gifts, we have started generating and providing a digital catalog gift system that compiles primary products from local governments and regions. As the first project, we provided "Furusato Gift You Can Choose Later," which compiles local products from Wakkanai City, generated using the "Catalog Gift System" (*7) by Supress Inc. (Headquarters: Sapporo City, Hokkaido / Representative Director: Aya Kano / hereinafter, Supress), as a hometown tax return gift for Wakkanai City, Hokkaido, and it has been listed on "Rakuten Furusato Nozei."

"e-machi Platform®" was also adopted by 5 projects undertaken by 5 local governments for the purpose of resident support and regional revitalization. Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, and Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture, utilized the Cabinet Office's "Local Revitalization Temporary Grant for Responding to Soaring Prices (hereinafter, Key Support Local Grant)" (*8) for FY2025, and adopted "e-machi Platform®" for projects implemented by each local government. Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture, issued "Digital Gift Certificates to Support Local Businesses" (usage period: November 11, 2025 (Tuesday) to December 31, 2025 (Sunday)), Matsumoto City issued "Matsumoto City Child-Rearing Support Electronic Coupons" (usage period: December 1, 2025 (Monday) to February 15, 2026 (Sunday)), and Suwa City issued "Suwa City Digital Premium Gift Certificates 'SUWA Digi Ticket'" (usage period: December 2, 2025 (Tuesday) to January 31, 2026 (Saturday)). In addition, they are utilizing "e-machi Ticket Portal," one of the solutions of "e-machi Platform®", as the foundation for a portal site that realizes the distribution, lottery, and sale of electronic gift certificates for each local government. All these local governments are deploying these initiatives as sustainable efforts that achieve project efficiency and cost reduction by multi-using the "e-machi Platform®" adopted for other projects (*9) for these projects as well.
