Investing approximately 1.37 billion yen in the development of treatments for malaria, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), and other infectious diseases

The Global Health Innovative Technology Fund (GHIT Fund) is an international public-private partnership involving the Japanese government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), private companies such as pharmaceutical firms, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome, and the United Nations Development Programme. It invests in and manages portfolios for product development (treatments, vaccines, diagnostics) to combat infectious diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) that threaten the health of the world's poorest populations.
