■ Exhibition Concept: 'Gaze' Transcending Boundaries

This exhibition is a stage for 10 artists who have continued to express themselves, holding a hopeful gaze towards an unseen future, much like believing in a starry sky beyond thick clouds.

'Idols' and 'Artists'. What both stand for in different domains have in common is a deep relationship with their fandom (supporters), who 'discover and support them'. This exhibition, themed around the 'gaze' held by artists, will showcase a collection of painting works by 10 artists, including Maki Hashimoto, each projecting their unique perspective. Maki Hashimoto, who sublimates her identity as an idol into the form of painting, and the Geidai students, who incorporate elements of 'fandom' – typically associated with idol production – into their own expressions. This is an experimental attempt to transcend the boundaries of expression and build new relationships with viewers and fans.

■ Narrative Immersive Experience: Statements Spun by Voice

Inside the venue, there are plans to introduce narrated explanations (※) where Maki Hashimoto will read texts (artwork explanation texts) written by each participating artist about their 'gaze'. By scanning QR codes attached to each artwork with their smartphones, visitors will experience a resonance between the visual expression of painting and Hashimoto's narrative 'voice'. This aims to provide a personal experience, as if the background and stories of each artist are being whispered into their ears, attempting a dialogue that crosses the boundaries between artists and viewers.

(※The content and format of the narrated explanations are subject to change without notice)
