Getworks Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Hidenori Nakazawa, hereafter 'Getworks'), in collaboration with Nao Engineering Inc. (Headquarters: Yuki City, Ibaraki Prefecture) and Medical Aid Inc. (Headquarters: Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture), has completed the commercialization of a shelter-type container data center (hereafter 'this product') specialized for large-scale disasters and emergencies.

Getworks began developing container DCs for edge computing and edge AI in 2024 and announced its commercialization in June 2025. In parallel, we have been conducting various designs, developments, and demonstration experiments for 'measures against large-scale disasters and emergencies,' which has been a major theme since Getworks entered the container DC business in 2012.

Through this collaboration, we have realized the commercialization of a robust container-type data center using a shelter design.

The five major features are as follows:
- Earthquake resistance: Seismic grade is the highest class 3 (Importance factor 1.5)
- Impact resistance: Highest level of impact (punching) resistance *Figures are not disclosed
- EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) countermeasures: Highest level of shielding performance (dB) *Figures are not disclosed
- Water cooling support: Openings and penetrations use special packing + special shielding, similar to those used in ships
- Various size options: 10 feet (FT), 12FT, 20FT, 40FT

Data centers are now critical facilities in AI and IT infrastructure. It can be said that continuing operations and protecting data under any circumstances is the most important issue. While discussions towards solving this issue are taking place widely in Japan, this product has already entered mass production and can be delivered in about two months, so we believe it is one of the methods to address the issue immediately. We will continue to assume all situations and repeat development and demonstration experiments aimed at solving various issues and enhancing performance.
