Gentosha Comics Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Masayasu Ishihara) will release the Birds Comics Special 'New Edition Spinnerbait: Upper and Lower Volumes' as a physical book exclusive on June 2nd (Tuesday) to commemorate the drama adaptation.
Seishiro Kato will take the lead role as Kota Mitsui, with a lineup of gorgeous co-stars expected to appear.
Author Kazuya Konomoto, also known as a talented screenwriter, recently won the prestigious 'Mukoda Kuniko Award.' 'Spinnerbait' was Konomoto's debut serial manga, originally published in 'Comic Birds' (now moved to the digital manga site 'comic boost'). It is a youth crime suspense story.
