GiGO Crane Game Oasis Opens in Chiba’s Harbor City Soga Area!

The GiGO location within 'Festival Walk Soga,' a large-scale integrated leisure complex in the redeveloped Harbor City Soga area of Chiba City, will reopen as 'GiGO Crane Game Oasis,' the second such store in Chiba Prefecture. Festival Walk Soga, home to a movie theater, spa facilities, amusement zones, and a bowling alley, is a popular entertainment destination focused on leisure and relaxation.

'GiGO Crane Game Oasis Festival Walk Soga' features 221 crane games across approximately 650 tsubo (about 2,150 sqm) of space. With this renovation, the prize lineup has been completely refreshed, significantly expanding everyday-use items such as food, snacks, and household goods. The store introduces numerous beginner-friendly game setups, including a '10-yen play corner,' new machines that require players to sway the arm, and hook-based prize retrieval mechanisms—making it accessible and enjoyable even for children and first-time players. Visitors can fully experience the joy of winning prizes. Additionally, the store includes kids' rides, capsule toys, and medal games, making it a fun destination for all ages, from children to adults.

The entire facility retains its legacy since opening in 2005, featuring an interior design inspired by the West Coast of the United States, with an overwhelming scale. This space is now further enhanced by original 'GiGO Crane Game Oasis' characters themed around animals. A standout feature is the massive neon sign, reminiscent of authentic Las Vegas signage, which has been preserved since the original opening. Due to a shortage of skilled neon craftsmen, new production and repairs of such signs are now extremely difficult. The store has carefully restored this rare neon sign by skillfully combining LED lighting in areas requiring repair, preserving the vibrant visual impact of the original. This alone makes the space worth visiting. Guests are encouraged not only to play games but also to enjoy this extraordinary atmosphere.
