'Bana Ana' is the second installment in the omnibus film series featuring four short films, following 'Kuso-yaro to Utsukushiki Sekai,' which drew 280,000 viewers during a limited two-week run in 2018.

As with the previous installment, the film stars the three members of 'Atarashii Chizu'—Goro Inagaki, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and Shingo Katori—with Kenji Yamauchi, a versatile creator across various fields, directing. Director Yamauchi moved from directing commercials to theater, winning the 59th Kishida Kunio Drama Award for 'Troisgros' (’14) and the 74th Yomiuri Literature Award for Play/Scenario for 'Hot Autumn' (’22). He later gained prominence as a film director, releasing works such as 'Kuso-yaro to Utsukushiki Sekai,' 'My Friend's Dad is Loved' (’15), and 'Asia's Unique Country' (’25).

The ensemble cast includes First Summer Uika, highly active in variety, film, and historical dramas; Shuri, known for her striking performance in the NHK morning drama 'Boogie Woogie'; Kanji Furutachi, highly requested by creators for his presence in masterpieces; Etsushi Toyokawa, who expands his reach from dramas and films to hosting news programs; and Mitsuru Fukikoshi, who possesses a unique presence through his performance, voice, and physical expression. They are joined by Sara Hayama, Kyomi Mizuno, and Ami Tei.

In an era where people seek meaning in everything, the charm of this film lies in daring to enjoy the 'unknown' exactly as it is.
