Exhibition of ~30 Dynamic New Works Celebrating the Joy of Living: Ceramic Artist Mayumi Nakamura Solo Exhibition 'Opera'

### **The theme of this exhibition is 'Opera,' celebrating the joy of living—a new worldview where past series intersect.**

Ceramic artist Mayumi Nakamura has previously created the 'Jizai no Hana (Flowers of Freedom)' series, which enveloped inner anxiety and weakness with the strong message, 'It's okay to be yourself; just let your own flower bloom.' Following the 2020 pandemic, her 'Universe' series transformed the sense of isolation in a divided world into hope through beautifully blending colors. Her 'Sora ni Hana (Flowers in Space)' series then fused the worldviews of these two series. At each milestone, she has faced herself, the times, and society, entrusting those thoughts to ceramics.

In the solo exhibition 'Opera,' starting April 4 (Sat), these three series intersect to sing a new song of 'the joy of living.' The collection, capturing the moment when hidden vitality dynamically awakens, resonates vividly with the viewer's senses.
