The Japan Cycling Federation (JCF) will host the "TOYO TIRES JAPANCUP / JOC Junior Olympic Cup BMX Racing 2026" at the Nagoya Keirinjo BMX Race Course.

Furthermore, TOYO TIRE Corporation has been decided as the title sponsor for this year's "JAPAN CUP." Having supported the event since its first edition in 2021, this marks the 6th time the event is held, and it will be the first time as a title-sponsored competition.

Moreover, this event is positioned as one of the selection races for the "20th Asian Games" to be held at the same venue in September this year. Top domestic riders, including those designated as強化指定選手 (strengthened national team members), will engage in fierce competition.

Admission to this event is free, and a BMX experience session will also be held at the venue, allowing visitors to experience BMX firsthand in addition to watching the races.

We invite you to experience this top-level competition, where the best athletes in domestic official races gather, at the venue.

## What is BMX Racing?

BMX racing involves up to 8 riders starting simultaneously and competing for position on a dirt course of about 400m with various ups and downs. In the top category, riders can reach speeds of about 60km/h and jump over distances of more than 10m, making it a very exciting cycling sport.

Another characteristic of BMX racing is that MCs and DJs energize the audience and the entire venue with race productions and other entertainment.

## Event Executive Committee Chairman / BMX Olympian Akifumi Sakamoto

I am Sakamoto, the executive committee chairman of this event.

I have competed in races around the world, primarily in the home of the sport, America, and participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Based on my experience, I am working to reflect that value in current domestic competitions, prioritizing not only the athletes but also creating an event that all visitors can enjoy.

We aim to create an event where all participants, their supporters, and all spectators can feel the appeal of BMX racing.

We invite you to experience the highest level of domestic racing at the venue.
