Head Coach Kyle Milling

In the first half, we couldn't establish our rhythm. We gave Hokkaido too many fast break points, had bad turnovers, and foul trouble messed with our rotation, so we couldn't get into a good rhythm early on, giving Hokkaido confidence quickly. We were able to make a comeback in the third quarter, but ultimately Hokkaido took the win.

(What was the reason Hokkaido gained momentum in the 4th quarter?)
One reason was Johannes Thiemann getting into foul trouble and having to sit out. Also, Kelly Blackshear (Jr.) fouling out, I believe. It's really tough to fight until the end without foreign players, and I think Hokkaido showed their resilience in the end.

Player Kazuki Hosokawa

From the start, the opponent played transition basketball, attacking the rim and getting into their rhythm while we couldn't play our own game. We managed to switch gears in the third quarter, created a good flow from defense, and took the lead, but in the end, there were some small mistakes, shots made by them, and steals, which ultimately led to the result.

(What improvements do you want to make for next week's game and the Championship (CS)?)
First, since we've decided to go to the CS, we want to reset and face Saturday's game head-on. Also, we need the whole team to understand what kind of plays the opponent is good at and prevent them from doing that for 40 minutes. How much we can play our own rhythm will determine the outcome.

(Regarding the many fans who came to Hokkaido and those who supported us remotely on screen)
Yesterday, thanks to all the fans, we were able to play good basketball and secure our spot in the CS, which was truly amazing and joyful. Today, we had also discussed as a team about winning and aiming for a home CS game, but sometimes things go well, and sometimes they don't. Even in such situations, we will continue to do our best for the fans who always support us until the end, so please continue your passionate support at home.

(Regarding the Sendai game and CS, renewed determination)
We want to win both Sendai games, play well for 40 minutes with good basketball, and enter the CS with good momentum, so please continue to support us.
