VTuber x Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture Collaboration Enters Second Phase! Bus Tours, Business Experience, and High School Collaboration Planned

Future Link Network Inc. (Headquarters: Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, President: Takeharu Ishii, hereinafter FLN), which promotes the creation of "related population" (people with connections to a region), will jointly implement a city promotion project utilizing VTubers in Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, for the second consecutive year with uyet Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya City, Tokyo, President: Hiroki Kajita, hereinafter uyet), a company specializing in business support and creation for the VTuber market.

From July 1 to the end of October, specific initiatives will include a collaborative project with local sightseeing bus tours organized by Niimi City, a collaborative project with Kyosei High School in Okayama Prefecture, and business experience events in cooperation with local businesses. Through these projects, we aim to promote the appeal of Niimi City's tourist attractions and specialty products, attract tourists, and encourage relocation and settlement, thereby increasing the "related population."

About the Machi Supa Project

The "Machi Supa Project" aims to help VTuber fans, primarily those in their teens and 30s, discover "cities to support" that can become their second or third hometown. Through content such as manga and videos that convey the charm of the region, we will contribute to "regional revitalization" and "expansion of hometown tax donations."

To date, the project has been implemented in a total of 8 municipalities, including Niimi City in Okayama Prefecture, Hachimantai City in Iwate Prefecture, Hokota City in Ibaraki Prefecture, Kitakata City in Fukushima Prefecture, Tamana City in Kumamoto Prefecture, Tarui Town in Gifu Prefecture, Tsurui Village in Hokkaido, and Kawaguchi City in Saitama Prefecture.

About Creating Related Population Through This Project

FLN is promoting the creation of "related population" (people with ongoing connections to a region) as a key business initiative. This project aims to encourage the transition from "visiting population" to "related population" by creating opportunities for young people, including VTuber fans, to learn about Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, as a "city to support," visit it, and cheer for it.

Through real-world touchpoints such as bus tours and business experiences, we aim to foster ongoing connections that inspire participants to think "I want to visit again" or "I want to support this region," rather than just a one-time tourist visit, thereby contributing to the development of local leaders and sustainable regional revitalization.

1. VTuber Bus Tour Project

During a bus tour of Niimi City's tourist spots, VTubers will guide participants, introducing the city's attractions, including its tourist destinations and specialty products. The VTubers, displayed on monitors inside the bus, will act as real-time tour guides, sharing the charms of Niimi City while participants can enjoy interacting with them. Applications for the bus tour project are scheduled to begin in July.

2. Collaboration Project with Kyosei High School in Okayama Prefecture

In collaboration with Kyosei High School in Okayama Prefecture, which was the first in Japan to establish an esports club, we will implement a collaborative project with VTubers. The details of the project are currently under discussion.

3. Collaboration Project with Local Businesses "Real Quest"

Business experience activities will be held in cooperation with "Yume Suki Park." The details of the project are currently under discussion.

4. Live Stream Featuring VTubers

VTubers will conduct live streams on their respective YouTube channels in July. The content of these streams will include introductions to the "VTuber Bus Tour Project" scheduled for October and highlights of Niimi City's charms.

5. Exhibition at FAN2026

To raise awareness of the "Machi Supa Project" initiatives in Niimi City, a panel exhibition showcasing our past efforts with Niimi City will be held at "FAN2026" (https://sites.google.com/smart.jcci.or.jp/fanniimi/), a regional revitalization event hosted by Niimi City on October 24 (Sat).

Message from the Mayor of Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture

This is Mayor Ishida of Niimi City.

As part of the "Machi Supa Project," which disseminates regional charm through "VTuber x Local Regions," we will once again hold the "Niimi City Hometown Citizen Niimi-to Tour" in Niimi City, a collaborative tour with VTubers.

Continuing from last year, we are planning a tour in collaboration with VTuber Mito Shigure, who will introduce our city's "must-see spots" such as "Rashomon" and specialty products like our "must-eat gourmet" "Chiyagyu" from her unique perspective.

Furthermore, this year, as a new initiative, Nana Hoshinana, active as an esports caster VTuber, will also participate. We will challenge ourselves with unprecedented new initiatives, including a collaborative project with Kyosei High School in Okayama Prefecture (Esports Club), known as a pioneer in high school esports in Japan.

We hope that through the tours and live streams, people will feel closer to Niimi City and have the opportunity to fully experience our region's rich nature and food.

We look forward to many participants joining us as we prepare for the tours and convey Niimi City's appeal as a "city to support" through collaborations with Mito and Nana.
