Future Corporation (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Tomohiko Taniguchi; hereinafter, Future) announces its statement regarding initiatives and policies for fiscal year 2026 and beyond, including AI-driven design and development. This is part of a collaborative effort with its main operating company, Future Architect Corporation (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yohei Saito; hereinafter, Future Architect), to promote projects aimed at solving social issues with more customers, using AI as an engine, under the concept of "Designing Management and AI."

1. Introduction

Future is a consulting firm with over 20 group companies. Since its founding in 1989, it has provided unique consulting services by designing optimal architectures for clients from a position that can neutrally evaluate and carefully select technologies, without relying on specific vendors.

As technology rapidly evolves, the challenges facing society are becoming increasingly complex and diverse. In the application of AI, while more customers are actively introducing AI agents, there is a growing demand for advanced management consulting regarding the assessment of investment returns that impact management figures, organizational structures, and the governance of legal and ethical risks posed by AI. In corporate strategies for the AI era, the need is not simply to introduce AI services, but to design a total solution that effectively incorporates AI into entire systems and business operations.

Future promotes the utilization of AI through both "fundamental research" and "social implementation," by collaborating between specialized technology teams and business units knowledgeable in various industries such as logistics, finance, retail, manufacturing, and energy. In "fundamental research," Future was adopted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's GENIAC program and publicly released its independently developed LLM worldwide*1. It is also pursuing cutting-edge technologies, conducting joint research with many universities and having multiple papers accepted at top domestic and international conferences. On the other hand, in "social implementation," Future has been involved in numerous complex and mission-critical large-scale core system renewal projects since its inception, and as a technology-based consulting firm, it supports true DX that contributes to clients' management figures.

Future defines its position in the AI market as a "Total Designer," a third pole distinct from AI platform providers and existing vendors. Our strengths are advanced AI expertise, comprehensive IT architecture design capabilities, and implementation power to realize them. We aim to support customers' transformations and redefine their businesses as AI-Native, while also aspiring to be the "No. 1 AI Social Implementation Company" ourselves.

2. Three Themes for Maximizing Future Value

With the mission of maximizing our customers' future value, we are focusing on three themes to address a greater number of social and management challenges.

(1) Realizing management and system architectures that integrate AI with strengths in management and IT

Future's strength lies in its ability to provide seamless consulting, from strategy to implementation and maintenance, for customers' management challenges. The number of customers with whom we have long-term partnerships, aiming for true DX that contributes to management figures, is increasing. In management, the question is no longer how AI can be used, but rather that AI is an obvious prerequisite, and this trend is accelerating. To maximize customers' future value and continue growing in an era of change, it is necessary to reconstruct management based on AI, rather than just optimizing parts of it. To achieve this, we comprehensively design AI architectures, both hardware and software, that are linked across "management," "operations," and "systems," based on security-by-design principles, ensuring optimal placement.

We provide unique "intellectual property solutions" that consolidate knowledge gained from numerous large-scale core system renewals and problem-solving in industry-specific challenges, and we are advancing the integration of these "intellectual property solutions" with AI. Examples include next-generation accounting systems (*2) and strategic business systems (*3) for financial institutions with full open APIs, core systems specialized for the apparel industry (*4), CMS for the newspaper publishing industry (*5), and security vulnerability management services (*6). Some of these already incorporate generative AI and AI agents. By accelerating these efforts, we will contribute to industry transformation. Furthermore, as a technology-based consulting company, we provide company-wide foundational AI agent architectures, natural language processing, mathematical optimization, video/image analysis, MLOps (Machine Learning Operations), and data analysis.
