Nekojyuujisha (Nekojuujisha)

Born in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture. Debuted in 1978 by winning second place in the 2nd Athena Award in 'Hana to Yume' (Hakusensha). Simultaneously serialized 'Chisana Ochakai' in the same magazine and 'Kuro no Monmon-gumi' in 'LaLa,' both becoming hugely popular series. Known for diverse genre works including the comedy 'Kentei Gotokufuku High School' (Shogakukan), fantasy 'The Tale of the Phantom Beasts' (Sora Shuppan), and essay manga 'Nekotsugura Island' (Fusosha).
