'Bring Paris Home'
Full of beloved details!
An adult's guide to Paris, by the former owner of 'Cafe Lotta,' who knows Paris inside out.
'Aging gracefully is something anyone can do, and growing older is a lot of fun,' Paris made me realize that. It's a city where role models for life walk around. Even though I've visited dozens of times, I'm still a traveler to Paris. This is a Paris book from my perspective, not a guidebook, about what I feel in Paris as a traveler and what I bring back from Paris.
(Excerpt from the book)
Kaori Sakurai, who has visited France over 30 times and is over 60, says her way of enjoying travel has gradually changed. This book compiles her real Paris travel experiences: what she buys every time she goes to Paris (and what she brings from Japan to bring back), what she looks forward to seasonally, her favorite cafes and croissants, the markets she always visits, tips for a comfortable flight, crime prevention measures, and even toilet situations.
The photos of Paris taken by the author are warm and gentle. Just turning the pages allows you to enjoy a blissful imaginary trip to Paris. And you'll surely want to travel to Paris as you read.
This is a new Paris book for 'bringing Paris home,' allowing you to feel Paris before you go, after you return, and wherever you are.
Reasons I fell in love with Paris, and reasons I keep going back
Chapter 1: Cultivating a desire for Paris
Once you decide to go to Paris, enjoy the preparation! This chapter thoroughly imparts Paris travel know-how, including schedules, hotels to stay in, clothes to bring, and essential travel goods.
Chapter 2: Bringing back memories
What we want you to bring back are sweet memories spent in Paris. Cherish the shopping at the markets you always visit, the beloved Eiffel Tower, and the adorably scruffy dogs.
Chapter 3: Things to bring back from Paris
Tableware, snacks, croissants, perfumes, miscellaneous goods, eco-bags. The author generously introduces the precious things she brings back from Paris.
[column] What exactly are the Left Bank and Right Bank?
[column] Bisou I just can't do
[column] Enjoying a rainy day
[column] Paris's toilet situation
