This competition brings together elementary and junior high school athletes from all over Japan who love the sea and yachting to compete in yacht races using Optimist-class dinghies over a two-day period. This year, a total of seven races were held, making it a very meaningful event where each athlete demonstrated the results of their daily practice. Fifty-seven athletes, ranging from 3rd-grade elementary students to 3rd-grade junior high students, participated, and white-hot races were unfolded from start to finish. Top winners are granted the right to participate in the All Japan Championships. To honor the efforts and struggles of the athletes who earnestly took on the race, the Company presented two awards: the 'Furuno Award' and the 'Furuno Lucky Award.'
