Announcement of New Employees Joining in FY2026

Furuno Electric Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Yukio Furuno) is pleased to announce that it held its FY2026 entrance ceremony on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, welcoming 42 new employees.
After the ceremony, new employees will undergo approximately two months of group training, after which they will be assigned to their respective departments. The group training will include classroom lectures, factory training, technical training, and onboard training.

Summary of President's Address

In addition to explaining the company's origins and corporate philosophy, the President delivered an address with the following key points.

Our company has formulated the management vision 'FURUNO GLOBAL VISION "NAVI NEXT2030"' as our target for 2030, and based on this guideline, we are promoting cultural reform in three phases: 'Change,' 'Connect,' and 'Transform.' Fiscal year 2026 marks the first year of the third and final phase, 'Transform.' We aim to share this management vision across the entire group, strive for even greater heights, and grow together with all of you.

Here, I would like to share three points regarding your mindset towards work.

First, I want you to integrate into the company as quickly as possible and become a true Furuno employee.

While it's often said to 'get used to the water' or 'when in Rome, do as the Romans do,' what we ask of you is more than just getting accustomed. We have high expectations that your fresh sensibilities and ideas will change the workplace, and ultimately, the company.

Second, your learning journey is just beginning.

With your entry into the company today, I strongly encourage you to have a firm 'resolve' and 'plan' to continuously improve your abilities throughout your life. We are currently in a turbulent era. We must anticipate change or create change ourselves. For this, flexible thinking and ingenuity are indispensable. Maintaining the status quo is the same as falling behind. Furthermore, even if you believe you are making progress, if you fall behind other companies, you will lose in the competition.
I want you to always strive to learn.

Third, regarding physical health.

No matter how grand your ideals or excellent your ideas, they cannot be realized without a healthy body. Indiscretions in youth will inevitably become a source of regret in old age. I believe you are confident in your physical strength now, but I urge you to make an effort to live a disciplined life, or at least be conscious of it, starting now.

Finally, I would like to share a phrase that our founder, Kiyotaka, was fond of saying: 'Resources are finite, but wisdom is infinite. Now is always the beginning.' This means that 'even if there seems to be no path ahead, a path will surely open up depending on your approach and mindset.' However, a path will not open with half-hearted enthusiasm or superficial methods. If you think deeply enough to make your head ache, inspiration will emerge beyond that. In other words, 'there are no limits to human wisdom.'
