On June 6th (Saturday), Fukuoka University held the award ceremony for scholarship students in the Reiwa 8 academic year.
The university has a scholarship system that honors students in their second year or above in all departments who have outstanding academic performance and good conduct in the previous year. Students are selected from each department and faculty, and scholarships are granted. This year, 210 students were awarded.
At the award ceremony, President Kiyoshi Nagata said, "Being selected as a scholarship student is the highest honor for a student," "People are required to accurately grasp the essence of problems, derive optimal solutions, and imagine new values," and "Please continue to learn various things with a strong curiosity, making steady efforts."
Representing the scholarship students, Nao Tsuda (a fourth-year student in the Department of Sports Science) conveyed her thanks, saying, "Looking back on my student life so far, I have aimed to make the knowledge gained from daily lectures my own one by one and to put it into practice. I am very happy that this steady accumulation has led to the fruition as a scholarship student today, and it has become a great confidence for me," and "In the future, I will not forget the pride and humble attitude as a scholarship student, and while practicing both academic and athletic excellence, I will make further efforts to contribute to society from the field of education."
