On May 15, 2026, a reception was held at the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) for the Japan launch of 'Guardian Girls Vovinam (hereinafter GGV)', an international project that promotes the empowerment of women and girls through 'Vovinam', a traditional martial art originating in Vietnam.

This reception was co-hosted by the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, International Guardian Girls (GGI), and the World Vovinam Federation (WVVF), with the aim of fully launching GGV activities in Japan.

On the day of the event, officials from the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, as well as stakeholders in the fields of sports, culture, education, and healthcare from both Japan and Vietnam were in attendance, creating an international exchange opportunity centered around the themes of Japan-Vietnam relations and support for women.
