For two days, March 28th (Saturday) and 29th (Sunday), 2026, the "GA (Global Arena) Sakai Seikotsuin Spring Festival 2026" was held at Global Arena in Munakata City, with the Sakai Seikotsuin Group providing support as first-aid trainers.

Venue scene

The event was held with cherry blossoms blooming about 70% around the venue, with chilly mornings but warm enough days to break a sweat.

During the tournament, not only the players on the field but also substitute players, coaches, and guardians participated as one team.

Especially in high-intensity matches, there were scenes where players praised each other to boost morale when shots were scored, and encouraged each other when mistakes were made.

Sakai Seikotsuin's First-Aid Activities

Before the matches, trainers meticulously checked the players' physical condition before and after warm-ups. If any concerns were noted, stretching or treatment was provided to optimize their condition, sending them into the game fully prepared.

Once the matches began, many were high-intensity, leading to numerous player injuries. Players who sustained injuries visited the first-aid booth with anxious expressions, wondering if they could continue playing. However, thanks to prompt and accurate responses, they were able to return to the game looking cheerful and relieved.

Even after the matches, aftercare for injured players and treatments to prevent fatigue were provided. Additionally, many participating players in this tournament had low muscle flexibility and limited range of motion, so advice was given on how to build a body resistant to injury and stretches that could be done at home.

Having a first-aid booth at sports tournaments, staffed by nationally qualified judo therapists and acupuncturists, provides reassurance to players, coaches, and guardians.

Trauma Response

During this tournament, trauma cases requiring quick judgment and response occurred on the field, including 3 cases of ankle sprains and 1 suspected case of meniscus tear in the knee.

Delayed initial response to such injuries can prolong symptoms and affect the timing of return to play, making proper on-site assessment, first aid, and referral decisions extremely crucial.

Throughout the tournament, as the importance of on-site medical support systems for creating an environment where athletes can compete with peace of mind was reaffirmed, the Sakai Seikotsuin Group also contributed to establishing a safe and secure competitive environment.
