This sea-farmed Sakuramasu, the first of its kind in Kumamoto Prefecture, has garnered attention as a 'fish of hope' for aquaculture farmers. Fry introduced into Fukunari's net pens in December 2025 can be shipped in about six months, allowing for stable revenue without being overly affected by natural disasters. This brand was born from a challenge to introduce a new fish species for the first time in 46 years, directly confronting the changing seas of Amakusa, including rising temperatures and red tides. This event is a unique opportunity to experience the story of its birth and its rich flavor alongside the producers. The brand name will be officially announced on the day of the event.
