First time held! Experience "ethical choices" widely, from locals to tourists
Since 2015, JR Hakata City Co., Ltd. has held the "Hakata Farmers Market" with the aim of revitalizing agriculture in Kyushu and communicating the appeal of Kyushu ingredients. Following the "13th Fukuoka Organic Marche" held last year by The Organic Days, a general incorporated association, a collaboration with this initiative has been realized.
The title has been renewed to "Hakata Ethical Market," and it will be held for the first time at the JR Hakata Station Square, the gateway to Kyushu.
"Ethical" refers to "ethical choices" that consider people, the environment, and society. It refers to consumer behavior that considers the background, such as the working environment of producers, environmental impact, and circulation to the regional economy.
While introducing organic foods, sustainable products, and community-based initiatives, this event provides a place where local people, tourists, and business people visiting Hakata Station can experience ethical choices.
From Hakata, the center of Kyushu, we will send out a new message of sustainable city building.
