Fujiyakuhin Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Masayuki Takayanagi; hereinafter "Fujiyakuhin"), a comprehensive pharmaceutical company engaged in everything from pharmaceutical development to manufacturing and sales, will hold the "Fujiyakuhin Seims Girls Cup 2026" (hereinafter "Girls Cup"), a tennis tournament for junior female players who will turn 11 in 2026, as part of its sports support activities. Entries will begin today, May 11, 2026 (Monday).

This tournament, now in its 10th year, selects players for the "Fujiyakuhin Seims World Challenge Program" (hereinafter "World Challenge Program") (URL: https://wcp.fujiyakuhin.co.jp), which provides opportunities for growth, including overseas expeditions.

Fujiyakuhin aims to support the first step for players to become top players active globally and, in turn, contribute to the development of women's tennis in Japan.

**[What is "Fujiyakuhin Seims Girls Cup"?]**

The "Girls Cup" is a tournament aimed at discovering promising junior players, targeting 11-year-old junior athletes. This year marks the 10th holding since its inception in 2016, and it is now positioned as a gateway for players to become top players active globally. Players selected for the "World Challenge Program" are chosen from the winners and high-achieving players of this tournament.

The tournament consists of two parts: regional qualifying tournaments held across the country and a final tournament held at Omiya Kenpo Ground (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture). The top 4-8 players who participated in the regional qualifying tournaments are eligible to participate in the final tournament.

**[What is "Fujiyakuhin Seims World Challenge Program"?]**

The "World Challenge Program" is a program for junior female tennis players that provides growth opportunities, such as overseas expeditions and domestic training camps, for approximately three years, from ages 12 to 14, a critical transition period from junior to professional.

Tennis often involves significant costs, including overseas expedition fees, before players can become professionals, leading many to abandon their dreams midway. The "World Challenge Program" was launched with the desire to reduce the number of such players. Through this program, Fujiyakuhin aims to support the first step for the "next generation" of players who have not yet received sufficient support and, in turn, contribute to the development of women's tennis in Japan.

**[Success of Graduates]**

Among the graduates of the "World Challenge Program," which started in 2017, players who have leveraged their experiences and achievements to make a leap onto the world stage have emerged. Notably, Sakura Saito (affiliated with Fujiyakuhin, turned professional in 2024) and Haruyu Kinoshita (affiliated with Miki House, turned professional in 2025) graduated from this program in 2021 and subsequently participated in all four Grand Slam Junior tournaments for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023, accumulating achievements in world-class international competitions as leading Japanese junior players. Following Saito and Kinoshita, a succession of younger players are also emerging and performing well in international tournaments.
