This year marks the 12th edition of FAMIEN (Fami-en), the annual summer event hosted by the idol group Private Ebisu Junior High, affectionately known as "Ebi-chu." Fuji TV ONE Sports & Variety will exclusively broadcast the event live across two days: Day 1 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, and Day 2 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 9.

Celebrating their 17th anniversary since formation, Private Ebisu Junior High made a major comeback in 2025 with a concert at Saitama Super Arena—their first in nearly a decade—drawing the largest audience in the group’s history. Now entering their 15th year since major debut, the group’s momentum continues to grow. Beyond individual activities such as radio appearances, photobooks, and stage performances, their music has recently seen a resurgence in popularity. In May 2026, their song "Ai no Rental" went viral on TikTok, reigniting interest among younger audiences.

FAMIEN 2026 returns to Theatre Hibiki at Yamanaka Lake Exchange Plaza Kirara for another two-day celebration. The group’s latest single, "Ebi Chiri, Hajimemashita," released on July 8, was penned by Hyadain (Kenichi Maeyamada), marking their first collaboration in six years. Themed around a "return to roots," the song is expected to energize the festival atmosphere. Notably, this will be the group’s first solo concert featuring new member colors for Emari Sakurai (orange) and Yuna Nakamura (pink), adding further excitement.

The live performances will once again feature bold water-based stage productions unique to outdoor venues, creating a liberating experience where members and fans get drenched together—a highlight exclusive to FAMIEN. Set against the breathtaking natural backdrop of Lake Yamanaka and Mount Fuji, the concerts offer distinct vibes: Day 1 begins in the evening, while Day 2 starts in the afternoon, providing varied atmospheres.

This year, Fuji TV ONE will exclusively broadcast the entire event live, offering fans nationwide a chance to experience the evolving energy of Private Ebisu Junior High. These two days promise to be unmissable for fans and newcomers alike.
