Hakone Hotel Kowakien (Location: 1297 Ninotaira, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture, Manager: Kiyotsugu Sakamoto), a hotel offering hot springs, nature, and dining enjoyable for the whole family and safe for stays with babies and small children, began offering "Kowakien Ramen" and "Kowakien Kata Yakisoba" a la carte at its first-floor restaurant "Fontainebleau" starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Since the predecessor, Hakone Hotel Kowakien, not only its hot springs and Hakone's nature but also its signature dishes have been loved by many guests. In particular, these two dishes were popular menu items loved by generations since the predecessor era, and we have decided to revive and offer these popular dishes.

"Kowakien Ramen" - 2,000 yen (tax included) with soft drink bar

"Kowakien Kata Yakisoba" - 2,000 yen (tax included) with soft drink bar

In 1952 (Showa 27), Hakone Kowakien began operating a poultry farm utilizing hot spring heat. Subsequently, they expanded the chicken coops to raise up to 20,000 chickens. This initiative led to the creation of Kowakien's specialty chicken, which has been a familiar and important ingredient for Hakone Kowakien, enjoyed by many guests for many years.

The two revived dishes feature a thick, savory sauce made with chicken broth. Kowakien Ramen is topped with fried chicken in addition to this sauce.

This summer, the restaurant's seating capacity has been expanded, creating a spacious and relaxing dining area overlooking the beautiful garden. Please enjoy these exquisite traditional Hakone Kowakien dishes, unchanged from the past, to your heart's content in this new space.
