[Shimoda Aquarium] Popular Penguin Events Resume! - "Commemorative Photo with Penguins" and "Penguin Feeding Experience"

Shimoda Aquarium (Location: 3-22-31 Shimoda, Shizuoka; General Manager: Koichi Keino), an interactive aquarium, is pleased to announce the resumption of the "Commemorative Photo with Penguins" and "Penguin Feeding Experience" events starting June 1st.

Following the reduction in alert levels for highly pathogenic avian influenza, we have resumed these popular events. We will continue to prioritize animal health and visitor safety while maintaining necessary hygiene measures.

About Commemorative Photo with Penguins:
[Fee] Free
[Time] After the 11:25 "Peta-Peta March"
[Location] Photo stand next to the King Penguin enclosure
[Details] Take a commemorative photo with Humboldt penguins. Staff will take photos using your camera or smartphone.

About Penguin Feeding Experience:
[Fee] 300 yen per session (Numbered tickets available at opening)
[Time] After the photo event
[Location] Penguin Pool
[Details] Feed Humboldt penguins. Numbered tickets are placed in front of the pool at opening time.

Opened in March 1967, Shimoda Aquarium is operated by Shimoda Aqua Service Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujita Kanko. It is a unique facility utilizing a natural inlet, showcasing dolphins, sea lions, seals, penguins, otters, and local marine life. It is known for its close-contact programs.
