Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; General Manager: Tomohiko Chihiro) will offer the "Hotaru no Yube Dinner Buffet," a luxurious spread of colorful gourmet dishes, starting May 17th (Sunday), in conjunction with the "Hotaru no Yube" event where guests can observe fireflies in the hotel gardens from May 16th (Saturday) to June 30th (Tuesday), 2026.

The "Hotaru no Yube Dinner Buffet," held during the firefly season in our hotel gardens, offers a luxurious lineup of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, including a salad station with fresh vegetables, popular sirloin roast beef, chilled simmered dishes made to resemble fireflies, and Dongpo pork. This year, new attractions have been added, including an enhanced live kitchen menu.

This year's live kitchen will feature dishes prepared right before your eyes, such as pasta with shrimp broth and truffle shavings, Mont Blanc with chestnuts finished on the spot, and French toast with a dramatic flaming presentation.

As a ticketed menu item, adults can enjoy a "Two Types of Tuna Nigiri Sushi Comparison." For children, we offer a hamburger with the hotel's original character "Manager Hotaru" branded on it, chocolate bananas, and a "Manager Hotaru Bag" containing original merchandise.

The all-you-can-drink menu includes four seasonal recommended cocktails inspired by the garden. Guests can savor "Blue Lagoon," reminiscent of the water's edge in the garden; "Hotaru no Hikari" (Firefly Light), made with Hiroshima Prefecture hassaku liqueur; the non-alcoholic "Hotaru no Sumika" (Firefly's Abode), representing the garden's greenery; and "Strawberry Spritzer," inspired by the red Benkei Bridge.

Furthermore, this year, a special one-night-only event, the "Champagne Night Buffet ~Firefly fantasy~," will be held, offering unlimited champagne. Stay plans that allow guests to fully enjoy "Hotaru no Yube" and dinner buffet gift certificates, recommended for gifts, are also available, allowing for enjoyment on various occasions.

◇ A Garden Night of Flickering Lights, Inviting You with Fireflies and Bamboo Lanterns

After your meal, you can witness the magical glow of fireflies dancing in the firefly valley, near the water wheel, and in the biotope within the garden, along with the "Tokyo Sea of Clouds" garden projection that creates a misty atmosphere.

Additionally, there will be a bamboo lantern installation produced by the comprehensive bamboo lantern production group CHIKAKEN. Centered around bamboo lanterns inspired by "fireflies," a flickering effect recreating the faint light of fireflies will be presented every 20 minutes. The entire garden will momentarily be enveloped in darkness, offering a fantastical spectacle that changes with each moment.
