Fuji Kyuko Group's PICA Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, President: Katsuhiro Amano) will begin accepting reservations on Monday, March 23, 2026, for a pilot trial plan called "PICA Rainy Day HAPPY Guarantee." In collaboration with LinkTrip Inc. and Japan Small Amount & Short Term Insurance Co., Ltd., this initiative, the first of its kind in the camping industry in Japan (*as of March 2026, according to our research), offers up to a 100% cashback on accommodation fees if a certain amount of rain falls within specified time slots. The pilot trial for this plan will be conducted from Friday, April 24, 2026, to Friday, July 24, 2026 (*during the period from spring/Golden Week through the rainy season).

In outdoor activities, "weather" is one of the factors that significantly influences customer satisfaction. This plan is a new initiative born from the desire to allow guests to positively enjoy their stay even on rainy days. We aim to provide the value of being "HAPPY even in the rain" for a camping experience that is often affected by the weather.

The cashback determination will be made objectively and automatically based on rainfall data from Apple's "Weather Kit." Plan users can check the rainfall status and the cashback eligibility determination results through a dedicated smartphone app, and the application process for conditions met can also be completed within the app. This is a clear and simple system that utilizes DX.

Through this pilot trial, we will analyze the opinions and feedback received from users and proceed with improving and considering the plan details. Based on the results and response obtained, we aim to provide even better services towards the formalization of the plan in the future.

5. Cashback Determination Conditions

If there is continuous rainfall of 0.5mm or more during the following time slots, 50% of the accommodation fee will be refunded if either ① or ② is met, and 100% will be refunded if both ① and ② are met.
