Fujifilm to Hold “FUJIFILM instax™ Undisputed Kyoto” Breaking World Championship Regional Qualifier on June 20

FUJIFILM Corporation announced that “FUJIFILM instax™ Undisputed Kyoto,” a regional qualifier for the breaking world championship, will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The Japan/Kyoto event will take place in public spaces at Kyoto Station Building, including the Station Square and Muromachi-koji Square, and spectators can watch free of charge. In case of rain, both the qualifiers and main competition will be held at the Station Square. “FUJIFILM instax™ Undisputed” is an international breaking competition that Fujifilm has specially sponsored since March 2022 to further raise awareness of instax™ instant photography products. The Kyoto event, the first to be held in the Kansai region, will also be the opening regional qualifier of the 2026-2027 season. Winners of the B-Boy solo, B-Girl solo, and crew battle categories will earn spots in the World Final in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in March 2027, while the junior crew battle winner will be invited to the Heerlen event in the Netherlands. Registration opens at 10:30, qualifiers begin at 11:30, and the main competition is scheduled from 16:00 to 19:45. Categories include B-Boy solo battle, B-Girl solo battle, 5-on-5 crew battle, and under-16 3-on-3 junior crew battle. The entry fee is 3,500 yen, with registration details available on the ET-Stage website. Body Carnival, a Kyoto-based crew that won the crew battle at the “FUJIFILM instax™ Undisputed” Tokyo World Final 2026 held in March 2026, is also scheduled to compete. Spectators will be able to watch world-class crew battles up close. The venue will also feature an instax™ photo booth where visitors can enjoy taking photos with original templates featuring breaking athletes and take home special instax prints. The 2026-2027 season will continue with regional events in Heerlen, the Netherlands; Shanghai, China; Accra, Ghana; India; and the World Final in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Undisputed, founded in 2013, established prominent regional breaking competitions as a single world tour and created a masters championship where event winners compete. Its proprietary “Trivium” judging system has also been adopted by many international competitions. instax™ is Fujifilm’s instant photo system, launched in 1998 and widely known in Japan as “Cheki.” Its lineup has expanded from analog instant cameras to hybrid instant cameras, smartphone printers, and palm-sized cameras. instax™ is now available in more than 100 countries and has sold over 100 million units worldwide.
