The Japan Frescoball Association (Representative Director: Kenji Kuboshima, hereafter "JFBA"), which conducts domestic promotion activities for the communication design sport "Frescoball," announces that it will hold the "JBG®F Chiba 2026 RYOGEISYA Frescoball Championship -EAST-" at Inage Beach, Chiba City, on June 13-14.

Frescoball will be featured at the "Japan Beach Games® Festival Chiba 2026," a memorial event celebrating the 900th anniversary of the founding of Chiba. This event is one of the projects aiming to bring the international beach and marine sports festival, the "World Beach Games," to Japan. In addition to Frescoball, a total of 17 sports, including beach tennis, beach mölkky, and slackline, will gather to enliven Inage Beach.

The beach sport "Frescoball," originating in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1945, will hold the "JBG®F Chiba 2026 RYOGEISYA Frescoball Championship -EAST-" as a special official tournament. It is loved worldwide as a "cooperative" scoring sport where two people facing each other keep a rally going, but there are various ways to enjoy it. This tournament will be held in a three-part structure: a "Trinca Match" where a rally is continued by a team of three; a "Challenge Match" for players who have participated in less than 3 official matches or have no award experience; and a "Dream Match" where pairs are formed by lottery among the top 10 annual ranking players.
