MoveX Inc. held the urban street festival “TOYOSU STREET PARK FES” from May 2 to May 6, 2026, mainly at the seaside deck and outdoor main stage of Mitsui Shopping Park Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu, as well as the flower, tree and monument plaza in Toyosu Park. The event was organized to celebrate the 20th anniversary of LaLaport Toyosu and combined urban sports, music, art, toys, festival games, local sports and stage performances as an outdoor hands-on festival. A total of 28,666 visitors attended over five days, with May 5 recording the highest daily attendance at 6,833 people. By using both the commercial space of LaLaport Toyosu and public park areas in Koto City, the event created opportunities for children to encounter a wide range of sports and cultures beyond shopping and dining. Content included skateboarding, BMX, inline skating, parkour, double dutch, breaking, freestyle basketball and freestyle football experiences, as well as stage performances, competitions, 20th anniversary sticker art, wall art, spray art workshops, photo spots, body painting, finger skateboarding, kendama, spinning tops and family-friendly festival activities. Local sports teams including Alvark Tokyo, Shimizu Koto Blue Sharks and Tokyo United Basketball Club also joined the event with basketball and rugby experiences. On May 5, the mixed-culture battle “FREESTYLE SPACE” brought together performers from street dance, freestyle basketball, freestyle football, kendama, jump rope, spinning tops, diabolo and pole dance. The tournament featured 13 crews with 34 members and 23 solo participants, including top players from across Japan and world champion-level performers, with an audience-participation judging format that energized the venue. On the final day, May 6, the idol group WHITE SCORPION, produced by Yasushi Akimoto, appeared on stage and collaborated with freestyle basketball performers, symbolizing the fusion of music and urban sports. The final day’s main stage recorded 1,426 viewers and participants, the highest figure of the five-day event. A post-event visitor survey showed strong results: 88.9% rated the event as satisfactory or better, 92.6% said they wanted to visit LaLaport Toyosu again, and 87.0% said they would participate again if the event is held in the future. The organizer said it aims to continue working with local communities, facilities, parks, sports organizations and players to create places where children can encounter new sports and cultures.
