FP Corporation Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sapporo, Hokkaido; President and CEO: Ken Igarashi) will begin rolling out, starting July 2026, Osaka Gas Co., Ltd.'s PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) service "Smairuuf" (※2), which enables installation of solar power systems at zero upfront cost (※1), to all affiliated homebuilders nationwide under its high-performance housing brand "FP's Home" (a voluntary chain).

This initiative is one of the concrete actions to realize the brand's new core promise—"Protecting your life and your way of living"—announced as part of FP's Home's 2025 rebranding. By combining the living spaces built with FP's high-performance urethane insulation panels, renowned for their industry-leading airtightness, thermal insulation, and earthquake resistance, with the reliable energy self-sufficiency offered by "Smairuuf" at zero initial cost (※1), we aim to support homeowners in achieving comfortable and secure living.

Background and Objectives of This Initiative

In recent years, demand for residential solar power systems has been rapidly increasing due to rising electricity prices, growing environmental awareness, and government initiatives promoting ZEH (Net Zero Energy Homes) and mandatory solar panel installation. At the same time, rising construction material costs have driven up homebuilding expenses, making the initial investment for solar power systems a significant financial burden for homeowners.

To address this challenge, we have decided to introduce "Smairuuf," a PPA service enabling solar power installation at zero upfront cost (※1). By combining FP's uniquely engineered high-insulation, airtight "FP Urethane Insulation Panels" with the zero-initial-cost "Smairuuf" service, we will strongly support energy efficiency and decarbonization in Japanese housing without placing additional financial strain on homeowners.

Achieving a Secure Home: "FP Urethane Insulation Panels" × "Smairuuf"

The integration of FP's proprietary, high-strength, low-aging FP Urethane Insulation Panels—formed by integrally molding rigid urethane with wooden frames—and the zero-upfront-cost "Smairuuf" creates powerful synergistic benefits that support homeowners' "living" and "lives."

1. 【Economic Benefits】Financial security enabling healthy daily living (protecting "life")

Healthy daily life free from temperature fluctuations The robust insulation and airtightness delivered by the "FP Urethane Insulation Panels" reduce risks of heat shock (e.g., stroke, heart attack) during winter, protecting everyday "living."

Stable household finances unaffected by rising electricity prices With "Smairuuf," homeowners can use clean electricity generated by the sun during daytime, helping reduce utility costs after moving in (※3). After the 15-year contract period ends, the system is transferred to the homeowner at no cost, enabling full utilization of self-consumption and revenue from selling surplus electricity—transitioning to a lifestyle that minimizes lifetime energy costs.

2. 【Disaster Resilience】Preparedness for emergencies and power outages (protecting "life")

Retaining indoor temperature even in extreme winter or summer During a power outage caused by disaster, conventional homes quickly become inhospitable as heating and cooling systems fail. In contrast, "FP's Home," with its thermos-like superior heat retention and cooling capabilities, minimizes indoor temperature fluctuations, helping maintain body temperature and protecting the family's "lives" against harsh external conditions.

Emergency power supply During outages, the solar system's independent operation function allows homeowners to use up to 1,500W of electricity free of charge during daylight hours under sunny conditions. This enables charging smartphones, accessing disaster information via TV, and operating medical devices or essential home appliances, allowing families to remain calm and shelter safely at home even during disasters.

3. 【Environmental Benefits】Significant reduction in primary energy use; compliant with national ZEH and GX subsidy standards

Strong support for sustainable living Integrating solar power generation reduces household primary energy consumption by up to approximately 45% (※estimated example). This also makes it easier for homeowners to qualify for government GX subsidies (1.1 million yen per household), supporting sustainable lifestyles and home purchases from both financial and environmental standpoints.

Enhanced Economic Benefits with "Smairudenki"

For homeowners who adopt "Smairuuf," we recommend "Smairudenki." This service offers electricity plans with rates comparable to major utilities, and contract holders receive a 1 yen/kWh discount on self-consumption rates from their "Smairuuf" system, enabling further reduction in post-occupancy utility costs.
