FP Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Morisama Sato; hereinafter "FP Corporation") and Shizutetsu Store Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture; President: Toshimi Morishita; hereinafter "Shizutetsu Store") are pleased to announce an Eco-Store Partnership as part of their commitment to protecting the global environment and resources. We will collaboratively promote "Store-to-Store" horizontal recycling*1, using the stores as both the starting and ending points, across all 36 Shizutetsu Store locations.
1. Overview of the Initiative FP Corporation and Shizutetsu Store collect used food trays and transparent containers as resources via collection boxes installed at store entrances. These collected resources are reborn as eco-friendly products*2 through FP Corporation's "Tray-to-Tray" recycling system and are used once again in Shizutetsu Store's sales areas, realizing a circular horizontal recycling model. By creating an environment where local residents can easily participate in recycling, FP Corporation and Shizutetsu Store are working to reduce waste in the local community and aim to realize a sustainable society.
2. Performance Results In the fiscal year ending March 2025, Shizutetsu Store collected 165 tons of used food trays. Furthermore, by actively using eco-friendly products such as "Eco-Trays," the company contributed to a reduction of 268 tons of CO2 emissions during the same period.
3. Future Outlook By expanding the use of eco-friendly products, FP Corporation and Shizutetsu Store aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 300 tons annually by the fiscal year ending March 2030.
4. Activities to Promote the Initiative To share these recycling efforts with local residents and the children who will lead the future, FP Corporation and Shizutetsu Store are jointly conducting various activities, such as visiting elementary schools for educational classes and setting up booths at local events. In November 2025, we donated the educational manga "The Secret of Food Trays," which teaches children about food tray recycling, to all 81 elementary schools in Shizuoka City. We will continue to provide opportunities for local residents and children to deepen their understanding of the environment and recycling.
FP Corporation and Shizutetsu Store aim to become "eco-leaders in the community" and will promote the creation of an environment where local residents can easily participate in recycling. Through these activities, we will work to reduce waste in the local community and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
