Social Welfare Corporation Hoyukai (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Hiroshi Katori) held its FY2026 Business Plan Briefing.

The briefing was conducted not only to share the business plans of each facility but also to confirm the overall direction of the corporation, deepen cooperation between facilities and departments, and promote the development of an organization that supports community-based care.

Renewal of operation method to regional meetings

This year, the operation method was revised from the conventional division-based meetings to region-based meetings.

Employees from diverse businesses and job types—including special nursing homes for the elderly, day care services, in-home care support offices, community comprehensive support centers, and headquarters functions—gathered by area to share their respective business plans and regional issues.

As the challenges surrounding the elderly become more complex, it is difficult to meet community needs with a single facility or service alone. Therefore, it is essential for diverse services within the community to collaborate and leverage each other's strengths.

This revision of the meeting format is also a new challenge to further promote the practice of community care.

Regional collaboration born from cross-discussions

In addition to business plan presentations by each facility, the briefing held cross-discussions that transcended business categories.

Vibrant discussions took place on topics such as addressing regional issues, human resource development, multi-professional collaboration, and user support, providing an opportunity for participants to understand each other's roles and strengths.

Notably, facilities that previously had little contact developed face-to-face relationships, and comments were heard such as "We can now see what we can do together in the community" and "It led to a relationship where we can consult when in trouble."

This is a significant step toward building a cooperative framework within the area, which is crucial for supporting community care.

Chairman's Message

Chairman Hiroshi Katori stated, "For future community care, collaboration that transcends the boundaries of facilities and business types is indispensable," emphasizing the importance of connecting diverse services and professionals within the community to create new value.

He also touched on the priority policy for FY2026, "Expansion of Community Care Service Value," and indicated the future direction: "We aim to not only provide care services but also actively engage in solving regional issues and building communities, becoming an entity needed by the region."

Furthermore, he said, "Business plans are not mere targets or numbers; they are important messages that show the future and direction to each employee," stressing the importance of employees understanding the organization's direction and thinking and acting on their own.

Finally, he expressed his hope: "I want each employee to grow as a mainstay supporting the community and create new value as an organization that supports community care."
