## Press Release Information
Title: Forward Edge-AI Japan Co., Ltd. Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sky Perfect JSAT Corporation for Proof of Concept (PoC) on Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Technology for Satellite Communications

■ Background and Purpose

With the rapid development of quantum computers, responding to the risk that current encryption technologies may be deciphered in the future has become an urgent international issue. In particular, strengthening security in critical infrastructure such as electricity, communications, and finance is gaining importance from the perspective of national security.

Against this backdrop, this MOU was signed with the aim of contributing to the enhancement of Japan's critical infrastructure security by combining the PQC solution technology held by FEAI-JP and FEAI with Sky Perfect JSAT's operational know-how in satellite communication network and its extensive sales network to infrastructure companies.

■ Overview of this MOU

Based on this MOU, the three companies will jointly promote a Proof of Concept (PoC) to apply PQC technology to Sky Perfect JSAT's satellite communication line services.

The PoC plans to establish PQC connections via satellite links, verify communication quality (encryption, delay tolerance, stability), and evaluate operational feasibility.

■ Comments from Each Company

Koji Kakumoto, President and Representative Director, Forward Edge-AI Japan Co., Ltd.:

"This partnership with Sky Perfect JSAT is a highly significant step in protecting Japan's critical infrastructure from the threat of quantum computers. I am confident that by combining the cutting-edge PQC technology possessed by FEAI-JP and its US parent company FEAI with Sky Perfect JSAT's satellite infrastructure, we can significantly elevate the level of cybersecurity in Japan."

Masayuki Nonoyama, Head of Space Security Business Division, Space Business Unit, Sky Perfect JSAT Corporation:

"Satellite communication, as a foundation supporting critical infrastructure, requires high levels of safety and confidentiality. In response to these needs, Sky Perfect JSAT has been engaged in various verifications and studies since fiscal year 2018, aiming to provide ultra-secure communication services by the 2030s. This collaboration with FEAI-JP has provided a meaningful opportunity to verify the feasibility of ultra-secure satellite communication by combining it with various satellite communication methods. We will continue to build upon such verification opportunities and contribute to the realization of a safe and secure information distribution infrastructure."

■ About Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Technology

Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) is a next-generation encryption technology that can maintain security against attacks using quantum computers. The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is promoting its standardization, and government agencies and critical infrastructure operators worldwide are rapidly adopting it. FEAI-JP and FEAI possess unique technologies and products for PQC implementation in various communication infrastructures, including satellite communication.
