FORVAL Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Masanori Nakajima, hereinafter 'FORVAL'), a 'corporate doctor (next-generation management consultant) group' that visualizes and provides hands-on support for ESG management under the philosophy of 'Creating a new world with FORVAL by making the new normal', held a meeting with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and a delegation of related Cambodian ministries during an 'Awareness Tour' hosted by the company, exchanging views on promoting investment from Japan to Cambodia and future business collaborations.

About the Meeting
Under the framework of the Business Co-creation Team (BCT) promoting public-private partnerships between the two countries, the meeting was attended by high-ranking officials from multiple related ministries and agencies on the Cambodian side, including the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, the General Department of Taxation, the Ministry of Environment, Customs, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Industry. From the CDC, the team in charge of investment promotion and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) participated, introducing their efforts and strengths regarding collaboration with Japanese companies thus far.

During the meeting, recent trends in investment from Japan to Cambodia were shared, and it was reported that approximately 65% of investment projects by Japanese companies are deployed within Special Economic Zones. Active exchanges of opinions also took place regarding areas where further entry by Japanese companies is expected in the future, including Svay Rieng province, which is geographically close to Vietnam. Furthermore, the CDC touched upon the fact that over 60% of Cambodia's working population is composed of youth aged 35 or under, expressing their recognition that investment by Japanese companies plays a crucial role in technology transfer and human resource development. The entry of Japanese companies, including FORVAL's initiatives, was highly evaluated as significantly contributing to the growth of talent who will lead the next generation and the strengthening of the industrial base.

Going forward, FORVAL will continue to create opportunities for dialogue between Japanese companies and overseas governments/local institutions through the 'Awareness Tour', working to deepen local understanding and realize highly effective business collaborations.

We have been conducting the 'Awareness Tour', which marks its 6th iteration this time, with the concept of having executives experience an environment, information, encounters, and atmosphere completely different from their daily routines to gain various 'insights' that can be utilized in their own corporate management. This time, with the cooperation of FORVAL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., we were able to create an opportunity to exchange views with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) for the first time. The participants were able to feel the dynamism of a rapidly growing country and the grand design envisioned by the state firsthand, gaining a perspective to look at their own business from an international, macroeconomic viewpoint. As the FORVAL Group, we intend to proactively continue our activities and communications with an eye on the world and the future.
