Forest Publishing Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Ota) will begin sequential sales of 'Hajimete no Kodomo NISA' (authored by Yosuke Asami) from Monday, June 22, 2026. This book clearly explains the basics and practical use of Kodomo NISA, making it accessible even to complete beginners.
Comprehensive Guide to a New System That Could Shape Your Child's Future!
Starting in 2027, a new tax-free investment scheme for children, 'Kodomo NISA,' will be launched.
Kodomo NISA is not simply a 'child version of NISA.'
The tax-free period is indefinite,
and the maximum holding limit is 6 million yen.
By leveraging long-term growth,
there's significant potential to grow funds for education and future assets.
For example, families with financial flexibility
could aim to accumulate over 15 million yen in assets.
Even families who say, 'I don't have spare money from my income to invest'
can target over 5 million yen in assets by solely using child allowances.
This book explains everything from the fundamentals to the practical application of Kodomo NISA
in a way that's easy for beginners to understand.
Understand the Differences: Kodomo NISA vs. New NISA, Old Junior NISA, and Educational Insurance
Kodomo NISA is a significantly evolved system from the old Junior NISA.
There are many key points to understand, including
the tax-free period, investment limits, withdrawal conditions, and the transition to the new NISA upon adulthood.
This book clearly explains:
・ The differences between Kodomo NISA and the new NISA
・ Key changes from the old Junior NISA
・ A comparison with educational insurance
This will help you make an informed decision on which system is best for your family.
Furthermore, it introduces investment strategies for those who can and cannot take risks, how to choose investment trusts,
stable vs. growth-focused strategies, and detailed simulations based on different monthly investment amounts.
This ensures you don't start 'vaguely,'
but can make a confident, well-considered choice based on your family's unique situation.
From Education Funding to Financial Education and Exit Strategies
The purpose of Kodomo NISA is not just asset formation.
By managing money in the child's name, it becomes easier to separate parental funds from the child's funds,
and situations requiring withdrawals create opportunities for parent-child discussions.
In other words, Kodomo NISA is not only a system for building education funds
but also a system that provides a starting point for children to learn about money.
This book explains how to prepare for future education expenses such as university tuition, private high school, studying abroad, or living independently;
when to start withdrawing funds; and how to transfer unused assets
to the child's own new NISA account.
What should parents do now for their child's future?
This is an introductory book designed to help you simultaneously consider education funding and financial education, with Kodomo NISA at its core.
