■5th FOOMA Award 2026
For the fifth time, six products have been selected as Grand Prize nominees from 27 applications. The Grand Prize winner will be decided on the first day of the exhibition. In addition, an exhibition corner will be set up to introduce past award-winning products and this year's Grand Prize nominated products, and after the Grand Prize is decided, the winning products will be introduced via video.

■Startup Zone
36 food startups will gather to exhibit their booths and give pitch presentations daily during the exhibition. The "Startup Grand Prix 2026" will also be held, with winners selected based on visitor interest, and an awards ceremony will take place on the final day.

■Academic Plaza
The Academic Plaza, celebrating its 34th anniversary this year, is held annually as an opportunity for industry-academia-government collaborative research. This year, 43 universities and research institutions from Japan and overseas will participate. Five universities/institutions from the US, France, Taiwan, Vietnam, and New Zealand are scheduled to participate from overseas. 5th FOOMA Award 2026 Grand Prize Nominated Products Announced

For the 5th FOOMA Award 2026, six products have been selected as Grand Prize nominees from 27 applications. The Grand Prize winner and award-winning products will be announced on the first day of FOOMA JAPAN 2026, Tuesday, June 2, with a press announcement at 15:00 and an awards ceremony at 18:00 on the same day. In addition, the Grand Prize nominated products will be introduced at the "FOOMA Award Corner" from the first day of the exhibition. The corner will be set up in two locations: the West Exhibition Hall Atrium and the link space in front of East Exhibition Halls 7 and 8, to introduce the award-candidate products to visitors.

Name: 5th FOOMA Award 2026
Purpose:
The Japan Food Machinery Manufacturers' Association (hereinafter, FOOMA) established the "FOOMA Award" commendation system in 2022 to recognize excellent food machinery and equipment. The food processing machinery industry plays a part in diverse food cultures not only in Japan but also worldwide. Through this award system, we aim to promote technical research and development of food machinery and disseminate its technology, widely publicize excellent food machinery and equipment to the food industry, thereby contributing to improving productivity, solving various issues such as labor saving, contributing to the development of new foods, and further improving food culture and food safety.

Eligibility:
Companies exhibiting at FOOMA JAPAN 2026 that manufacture the applied product and exhibit the product* throughout the exhibition period.
*1 For products that cannot be physically exhibited at the exhibition venue (e.g., plant facilities, production lines), exhibits explaining the product (e.g., panels, videos) are also acceptable.
Eligible Products:
-Machinery, equipment, and production lines for manufacturing and processing food.
-Related machinery incorporated into food production lines (e.g., packaging machinery, automatic conveying systems).
-Instrumentation and auxiliary equipment used in food manufacturing processes.
