Akindo Sushiro Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Suita City, Osaka; President and CEO: Kohei Nii) is accelerating the introduction of its "Digital Sushiro Vision," commonly known as "Digi-Ro," in response to positive feedback from many customers. In April, it will be introduced at "Sushiro Kofu Alps Dori Store" as the first in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Conveyor belt sushi Sushiro originated from a single standing sushi restaurant in Osaka called "Tai Sushi." Since then, for over 40 years, we have maintained a thorough commitment to everything from sushi toppings, rice, and prices to the in-store experience. With the motto "Straight to Sushi!", we will continue to earnestly, diligently, and sincerely dedicate ourselves to our beloved sushi to deliver delicious sushi to our customers.
"Digi-Ro" is an initiative that proposes "a step ahead in conveyor belt sushi," allowing customers to enjoy an unprecedented in-store experience while digitally recreating the original fun of conveyor belt sushi. Since its introduction at the end of September 2023, we have continuously made updates to improve the experience value in line with customer needs. It was recognized for its ability to expand the value of the conveyor belt sushi experience even without a physical conveyor belt, and received the 2024 Good Design Award. With the desire for more customers to experience "Digi-Ro," we are continuously expanding the number of stores where it is introduced.
This time, on Friday, April 10th, the first "Digi-Ro" store in Yamanashi Prefecture will open in Kofu City. Additionally, on Thursday, April 16th, "Sushiro Kokura Ekimae Store" in Fukuoka Prefecture and "Sushiro Sasazuka Ekimae Store" in Tokyo will newly open, and on Thursday, April 30th, "Sushiro Abeno Apollo Store" in Osaka Prefecture will also open. Furthermore, it will be introduced in stores in Miyagi, Saitama, Hiroshima, Shiga, Mie, Saga, and Okinawa prefectures in conjunction with their renewal openings, making "Digi-Ro" available at 178 stores nationwide by the end of April.
Sushiro has utilized the power of digital technology in various aspects, and going forward, in addition to "delicious sushi," we aim to continue creating a store environment where customers can always enjoy themselves by offering new in-store experiences.

What is "Digi-Ro" that makes dining at Sushiro even more fun and convenient?
It is a large touch display that digitally recreates the essence of conveyor belt sushi, allowing customers to enjoy the fun of discovering new sushi and the pleasure of choosing from a variety of items on screen. Customers can operate the screen with their fingers to order items while watching sushi flow as video, and multiple people can view and operate the screen simultaneously.
Furthermore, "Digi-Ro" is equipped with features that make dining at Sushiro even more exciting, such as displaying detailed information about sushi and quizzes, and games that can be enjoyed based on the order amount.

The design concept is "Another Sushiro world expanding beyond the display"! It's like the curtain rising on a stage where sushi is the star. Also, you can switch to "Dakko Sushi Mode," where Sushiro's official characters appear, according to your preference.

Everyone can view the screen and operate it simultaneously. There's no waiting in line for the touch panel, providing the joy of choosing together. Additionally, Digi-Ro also supports ordering from smartphones, allowing customers to leisurely and freely order even from aisle seats.

In addition to the digital conveyor belt, you can also select items from the product menu. Furthermore, a new ordering method called "Sushi Navi" has been introduced, allowing customers to encounter new sushi toppings they might not have known before but find delicious. It also includes features not found in previous touch panels, such as narrowing down products by theme using hashtags.

It also features entertainment elements such as trivia and quizzes to liven up conversations, and the "Dakko Sushi Game" which starts based on the order amount, primarily for children to enjoy.

Box seats offer a spacious environment with high partitions behind the seats, allowing families and friends to immerse themselves in the world of Digi-Ro. Counter seats are equipped with a compact "Digi-Ro Mini," allowing solo diners to enjoy both convenience and fun.
