Legend of Nagoya Hip-Hop Scene "Mr.OZ" to Host Program on FM AICHI for the First Time in 16 Years! New Program "ounce 28.35g NEW ERA" Starts April 7th (Tuesday)!

FM AICHI (FM 80.7MHz / Toyohashi FM 81.3MHz) will start a new program, "ounce 28.35g NEW ERA," every Tuesday from 21:00 to 21:30 starting in April 2026.

This program will feature artists active in the Tokai region, centered in Nagoya, as guests, and will explore their musical roots, current activities, and future visions. The Tokai region is a music scene where various genres such as hip-hop, rock, and idol music have developed uniquely. This program will highlight artists active in the Tokai region, as well as those heading towards "AH1," Asia's largest hip-hop festival held in the Tokai region, and will support artists nationwide who are expected to be active in the future. It will convey not only their music but also their various thoughts and aspirations regarding the music scene and the new era.

The personality for this program is rapper "Mr.OZ," an OG figure who began his career in the 1990s and has continued to lead Nagoya's hip-hop scene and various street cultures for many years. This legendary artist will appear on a regular FM AICHI program for the first time in 16 years, and his talks with guests are highly anticipated.

The first broadcast will be on April 7th (Tuesday) from 21:00 to 21:30. In addition to radio broadcast, it can be listened to for free for one week after broadcast using the time-free function on the smartphone app "radiko."

Mr.OZ

"Over Z size" – as his name suggests, he possesses a physique that is likely the largest in Japan.

He began his activities as a hip-hop artist and MC in '93. In '05, he established his own company, "BIGG MAC WORKS," which developed a studio, label, and club, influencing not only Nagoya but also the entire country. Besides his solo work, he also performs with the hardcore band "CALUSARI" and the hip-hop group "Phobia Of Thug," consisting of Mr.OZ and G.CUE.

On July 24, 2025, he digitally released his album "Single Collection," which includes the new song "Coffee Chocolate Cigarette," along with his past albums. He currently presides over the music label 28.35g (ounce) and is continuously creating new content such as playlist-style radio shows "ounce 28.35g" and "ounce 28.35g feat." on YouTube.
