Target amount is 29,274,000 yen, crowdfunding through Furusato Nozei without return gifts

Bunkyo Ward Kodomo Takushoku delivers food to economically disadvantaged households with children residing in Bunkyo Ward, such as those receiving child-rearing allowances and school assistance.

The number of households receiving deliveries, which was 150 when this initiative started in 2017, has increased year by year and has now expanded to approximately 750 households (as of March 2026).

Most of the food delivered is donated by companies (shelf-stable foods such as rice and pasta, mixed seasonings, beverages, sweets, etc.), but additional food purchase costs, delivery costs, and operational funds for the project are collected through Furusato Nozei (Government Crowdfunding *) from all over Japan.

Since Kodomo Takushoku's Government Crowdfunding does not offer return gifts, all donations received will be utilized for the project.

In 2026, we will conduct crowdfunding with a target of 29,274,000 yen to enhance the content of deliveries made once every two months.

Provision of experiential opportunities and additional support in consideration of the impact of rising prices on household budgets

In FY2025, regular deliveries were stably continued once every two months to approximately 750 user households.

In addition to providing food, Kodomo Takushoku also implemented various support measures to support the healthy growth of children and the daily lives of families from various aspects.

To ensure that children have opportunities for experiences regardless of their economic situation, Kodomo Takushoku also provides experiential opportunities with the cooperation of donor companies, in addition to regular food deliveries.

In FY2025, we organized baseball games, invitations to classical ballet and concerts, food education events, and free toy distribution events. We received many joyful voices from families, and this also led to families consulting us.

In consideration of the impact of rising prices on household budgets, we are implementing various additional support measures in addition to regular deliveries.

Additional support implemented in FY2025

August 2025 Summer Vacation Increased Delivery (https://kodomo-takushoku.jp/archives/8607)
In response to rising prices, we delivered an "Increased Summer Vacation Delivery" with a focus on easy-to-cook foods.

December 2025 Additional Support

As support for each child, not per household, we delivered "1,000 yen book cards" to all children in user households, continuing from 2025.

February 2026 Frozen Delivery (https://kodomo-takushoku.jp/archives/9022)
We delivered a "Frozen Delivery" including frozen foods, which has been ongoing since 2022.

The purpose of frozen delivery is not only to reduce the burden of housework and household expenses for user families, but also to strengthen gentle monitoring by delivering by hand instead of leaving it at the door or in a delivery box.

March 2026 Spring Temporary Delivery

To help user households who are anxious about their lives due to rising prices to welcome the new fiscal year with peace of mind, we have prepared food and other items that will slightly reduce the burden of housework and household expenses.

Year-round support: Increased delivery to high school households

As part of support tailored to the age of children, we delivered additional items such as rice and packed rice to households with high school students.

"Kodomo Takushoku has truly saved my heart" Messages from parents and children

We have received the following messages from parents and children using Bunkyo Ward Kodomo Takushoku.

I have no relatives to rely on, and balancing daily single parenting and work takes all my energy, but Kodomo Takushoku has truly saved my heart.

Just knowing that someone I don't know cares about me, a stranger, and that there's a place to connect if I have worries, makes me want to keep working hard and positively tomorrow.

I sincerely hope that someday I can also strive daily to support someone within my capabilities.

Thank you for delivering so much food and daily necessities this month. There were many essential foods for Christmas and New Year's, such as stollen, mochi, and soba, and my child and I were excited for an early Christmas present! Thank you very much.

Today, I safely received the frozen delivery.

Tatsuta-age and shumai that can be eaten just by microwaving them are very helpful for saving time. All of them are ingredients that children would love, and I will eat them with care.
