The MetLife Women's F.League will be changing its tournament format over the next two seasons. In the 2026-27 season, the league will move from the conventional central tournament format (one round of 5 matches at one venue) to holding home games hosted by each club in some rounds, with up to two matches held at venues separate from the central venue. Furthermore, in the 2027-28 season, the league will transition to a full home & away format for all matches, similar to the current MetLife F.League. By increasing the number of home games, we aim to transform teams to be more community-focused and strengthen the management capabilities of each club. We aim to invigorate the Women's F.League more than ever, which will lead to the development of women's futsal and, ultimately, the strengthening of the Japan Women's National Futsal Team. ◼︎MetLife Women's F.League Tournament Format Change.
