finetrack®, a Japanese outdoor brand (Hyogo Prefecture/Representative: Yotaro Kanayama), will launch a limited edition product, the "finetrack×FEELCAP Miyama Breath Cap," born from a collaboration with hat brand FEELCAP® (Osaka Prefecture/Cocaji Co., Ltd.) in June 2026.

This is a collaborative project between Made in Japan brands. By combining the high-performance materials, hat manufacturing technology, and ideas cultivated by each brand, a "cool cap that blocks sunlight," specialized for Japan's hot and humid summer, has been created.

In recent years, with escalating extreme heat, the need for heat-mitigation equipment for summer mountain climbing and outdoor activities has been increasing. Against this backdrop, this product was born from the unique concept of a domestic brand that understands Japan's mountain environment, aiming to help people enjoy the outdoors more coolly.

The release date is June 10th (Wednesday) onwards. It will be sold exclusively at finetrack's directly managed store TOKYOBASE (Omotesando, Tokyo) and its official WEB STORE.

Background of the Collaboration

A cap that blocks sunlight is essential in the field during midsummer. However, the more you wear it, the hotter and more stuffy it becomes – the goal was to create a cap that could solve such a dilemma.

Therefore, we consulted with Cocaji Co., Ltd., a hat manufacturer in Osaka with whom we have been co-developing headwear for many years. Cocaji Co., Ltd. operates its own sports cap brand, "FEELCAP®," and from their product line, they introduced the structure of the "X-SUNLIGHTPROOF TRAIL CAP."

It allows wind to pass through the mesh while simultaneously providing heat shielding. This was exactly what we had envisioned. By combining this structure with finetrack's unique materials, we could create a cap that is drier and more reliable for midsummer mountain climbing scenes – and thus, the collaboration began.

About finetrack's "Cooling" Products

finetrack has been involved in the development of products for heat countermeasures since its early days, and this trend has become particularly strong in recent years. In March of this spring (2026), they consecutively released the heat-shielding base layer "Draout® Shade" and the breathable mountain pants "Sylfa Pants." Starting from May, they launched the "Cooling Layering" proposal for the summer mountain season.

The launch of the "finetrack×FEELCAP Miyama Breath Cap" follows this trend. Through manufacturing unique to a domestic brand that understands Japan's high-temperature and high-humidity mountain environment, we hope to help people enjoy summer outdoors more coolly.
