Findy Inc. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yuichiro Yamada, hereinafter "the Company"), a provider of engineering platforms, today announced the launch of "Development Capital Score (Alpha Version)," a new feature that visualizes the state of development organizations in the AI era on its AI-era development capital platform "Findy Team+" which connects management and development teams. This feature is based on the new concept of "Development Capital in the AI Era" advocated by the Company in May 2026, and visualizes whether AI investment is accumulating as the true strength of the development organization across three axes: Speed, Quality, and Control. The aim is to enable management and development teams to discuss the effects of investment and the state of development organizations based on the same grounds, using these common indicators. A beta version is scheduled for release at the end of September 2026, aiming to improve the validity and measurement accuracy of the indicators, including the visualization of important qualitative indicators.
◆ Background: The Need for a "Common Language" to Bridge the Gap Between Management and Development Teams
In recent years, with the widespread adoption of generative AI and AI agents, AI implementation has accelerated across all development processes, from specification to implementation, review, and verification, leading to a significant increase in output.
However, both management and development teams are facing the following challenges:
Management Challenges
Despite continuous investment in AI, the return on that investment is unclear. It is difficult to make appropriate decisions for AI promotion due to a lack of transparency regarding the organization's actual state.
Field Challenges
While focusing on process improvement, it is difficult to prove that these improvements are accumulating as an enhancement of "organizational strength." The prioritization of improvements is subjective, and there is a lack of objective grounds to explain the validity of investments to management.
To address these challenges, the Company launched the "Development Capital in the AI Era" formulation project in May 2026, redefining development productivity as a management asset directly linked to corporate competitiveness. The new "Development Capital Score (Alpha Version)" feature of "Findy Team+", the first step of this project, quantitatively visualizes the organizational state from three perspectives: Speed, Quality, and Control. It functions as a "common language" for management and the field to engage in dialogue and make rapid decisions based on the same indicators.
Three Perspectives Constituting Development Capital in the AI Era
Perspective
What to Observe
Speed
Are we able to build, release, and learn quickly?
Captures the speed of the change and learning cycle, including not only implementation but also review, CI, deployment, and observation of results.
Quality
Are we progressing without rework?
Captures whether value is being delivered continuously, minimizing rework, rollbacks, incidents, and degradation of maintainability.
Control
Can we predict and control changes?
Captures whether the organization can handle the scope of changes, verification, approval, rollback, and complexity.
◆ Overview of New Feature
In the alpha version, indicators previously visualized in "Findy Team+" (DevOps analysis, cycle time analysis, project investment analysis, etc.) are categorized into the three axes of Speed, Quality, and Control, allowing users to get an overview of the development organization's current status as a score. In addition to organizational-level visualization, detailed situations for each team can also be grasped.
