Tomoko Nakaso
Began her creative activities with the desire to "keep things that move my heart close at hand." She creates warm works that richly color daily life, with motifs inspired by the changing colors of the Setouchi sea and sky, and the interesting shapes of mountains, birds, and living creatures.
The "tobikanna" technique, which creates regular concave and convex patterns through carving, produces light and shadow, stippled patterns, and variations in color through glazes, achieving delicate and beautiful expressions.
