On Sunday, March 29, 2026, local time, the Japanese national team secured a bronze medal in the team event at the Women's Saber World Cup held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Japanese team, ranked 4th in the world entering this tournament, defeated Germany 45-30 in the quarterfinals. Although they narrowly lost to Individual Neutral Athletes (AIN) 41-45 in the subsequent semifinals, they went on to win the 3rd place match against Poland 45-44, securing the bronze medal.
